Emergency Procedures

We hope your dog never needs us for an emergency, however if they are in need of urgent treatment, rest assured that we are ready and able to respond to their needs.

Common emergencies can include car accidents, heart conditions, poisoning and dog fights, amongst many other varied injuries and acute illnesses.

Upon arrival, your dog will be assessed by Dr Raj or one of our veterinarians, and we will begin appropriate treatment promptly. We will aim to provide an estimate of the costs involved with your case, however, please be aware that with emergency procedures costs can vary depending on what services and treatments are required.

Our veterinarians will keep you updated regularly during the course of your dog’s treatment with us. In some cases we may need to refer to a veterinary specialist centre or 24-hour emergency facility.

If your dog requires emergency care when we are closed, we refer our patients Animal Emergency Service (AES)

The AES is located at 37 Derwent Park Road, Moonah.
